Be ready to vote.

The church’s published Article X, Section 3 procedure sets out the annual-election process. Review the official instructions and contact the church office about eligibility or meeting arrangements.

Before Election Day

Review the posted ballot

The Nominating Committee presents and posts nominees at least two weeks before the election so members can review the ballot.

Additional nominations

Use the prescribed process

Two members qualified to vote may nominate an eligible person for an office through the prescribed process. No nominations are taken from the floor at election time.

At the election

Use a written ballot

Annual elections are by written ballot. Proxy voting is prohibited. A voter may write a name on the ballot under the published procedure.

Election outcome

A majority is required

Election of an officer requires a majority of ballots cast. The approved slate and certified results are communicated through official church channels.

This page explains the process. It does not approve candidates, determine voter eligibility, record votes, or certify results. The church’s governing documents and official election instructions remain the authority.
