NOMINATIONS FOR CHURCH LEADERSHIP POSITIONS ARE OPEN FOR WRITE-INS!
The Mount Zion Baptist Church Nominating Committee continues to seek qualified members to fill church officer and ministry/board positions. We are seeking members in good standing for at least 2 years to join our church leadership team.
The next phase of the nominating process is now underway. A list of the current nominees who have been vetted by the nominating committee and vacant positions will be presented for election on March 23, 2024. Any Mount Zion Member in good standing for at least 2 years may be nominated for any of these positions as a “write-in” nominee. A candidate may be nominated by another member, or you may also nominate yourself. The nominees will be vetted to determine eligibility by the Nominating Committee. No nomination will be made from the floor at the time of election, but each voter may vote for anyone whom they please by writing in the name on the ballot. The nominee must secure a Nomination Form from the church website, or church foyer, to be nominated for a position. A biography of 100 words or less is required from each nominee. Nomination forms and position descriptions are available in the church lobby, church office and on the church website at mountzion.net.
Those nominated shall be a member of Mount Zion, have the necessary skills for the position and be willing to carry out the responsibilities of the position. Interested candidates must be willing to interview with the Nominating Committee to discuss your qualifications. Elections will be held at Mount Zion in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 10:00 am. Only Mount Zion members are eligible to vote.
