Mount Zion Baptist Church Welcomes Dr. Cheryl Ivey Green

Mount Zion Baptist Church is honored to welcome Dr. Cheryl Ivey Green.

Dr. Green serves as Executive Minister at First Baptist Church of South Richmond and is widely recognized for her faithful ministry, executive leadership, and deep commitment to community service. Her work has included leadership in the Virginia House of Delegates, the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus Foundation, and service on numerous boards and organizations dedicated to uplifting communities and advancing meaningful change. She also holds degrees in mathematics, divinity, and ministry, reflecting both spiritual depth and academic excellence.

A devoted servant leader, Dr. Green’s ministry is rooted in the Gospel and inspired by Luke 4:18, as she continues to bring hope, compassion, and transformation to both the church and the broader community.
